Analysis: This is a video for my favorite track off of B-Real’s Smoke & Mirrors album. Nothing much else to say about it, really. I like the style with the motion graphics over the black & white film. No narrative and nothing fancy, just a good display and spotlight of the song.

Analysis: It’s actually the original version of ‘Don’t Ya Dare Laugh’ that will appear on Smoke and Mirrors, so the added bonus on this version is Xzibit, who I personally haven’t heard on the mic in a minute. But these two West Coast all-stars team up for a track that ultimately turns out to be “aiight”.

Listening to this song, I kept wanting to compare B-Real to other rappers, but I had to keep stopping myself when i realized that he most likely influenced most of them. But if you were expecting this song to not be about weed, you’re loco.
